Laura completed a DPhil in Education with the Learning and New Technologies research group at the Department of Education in 2015, and also holds an MSc in Evidence for Public Policy and Practice from the Institute of Education. She is a strong advocate of participatory methodologies and action research, and has a range of qualitative research experience exploring inequities in learning environments, both in the UK and internationally. She has worked in local government supporting marginalised young people, designed educational resources for an EdTech company, and has taught secondary school pupils with Special Educational Needs and English as an Additional Language.

Her research interests include digital inequality in education, digital education and social justice, ethnography and participatory methodologies.
